Whether you're starting a family or adding on to one, we understand how personal having a baby is for both you and your partner. At Providence Health Center, you'll be able to count on us.

Labor and Delivery

Nine large, private Labor Delivery Recovery rooms will ensure that mom and family members have a comfortable setting for the birthing experience. Each room has many special amenities including plenty of space, a TV/VCR combo and sleeping accommodations for dad. If a Caesarean section is scheduled or becomes necessary, babies are delivered just down the hall in fully furnished operating suites. This ensures that from the time you enter Providence Health Center to have your baby, you never have to leave the Women's & Children's Center.

The Postpartum Mother/Baby Unit

Private postpartum rooms have been designed with the patient and family in mind; each complete with a TV/VCR, private shower and sleeping accommodations for dad. You'll learn how to properly care for yourself and your baby. Our dedicated professional staff, supported by years of training and experience, provides one-on-one personalized education in the privacy of your room. Learning proper feeding techniques and newborn care may relieve much of the anxiety for new mothers, and dads too.


Newborn Nursery

Our nursery is enclosed in glass with low walls and a wide viewing area, so even small children can catch a glimpse of the new babies. Caring staff takes time to give each baby the extra attention and care he or she needs while moms recover. The nursery is also available as needed for moms who need a little rest. Level II Nursery

For those newborns who require specialized care, Providence Health Center offers a Level II Nursery. Trained personnel provide care with state-of-the-art medical equipment and supplies while nurturing these precious infants.
 

Dinner on Us    

During your stay here at Providence, you will get to partake in a Celebration Dinner for two on our Postpartum unit. In the privacy of your own room, two will enjoy an exquisite dinner on fine china and white tablecloths. You and your guest will be able to choose from a fine dining menu created especially for you by the Providence Health Center chef.
